Amy is an Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist at the FAO. She is also currently part of global coordination for FAO Director General’s flagship initiative, Hand-in-Hand, which focuses on bringing targeted investments to countries for resilient, sustainable and productive agrifood systems. Previously she was part of the team leading the strategic direction and oversight of the organisation’s programme on sustainable agriculture, and served as a team leader in the statistics division, where she oversaw key FAO products such as the Hunger Map, FAOSTAT, and the FAO Statistical Yearbooks/Pocketbooks. Prior to joining FAO, Amy worked at the World Bank. Amy holds a master degree from Columbia University and a PhD in Economics from Bocconi.
