Our Flagship Program BATIF 2026
BATIF 2.0 is Bhutan’s flagship platform advancing agrifood trade, investment, and partnerships by bringing together government, agribusiness leaders, investors, and development partners. Building on BATIF 2024, the Forum focuses on investment readiness, structured engagement, and practical deal-making to accelerate Bhutan’s agrifood transformation through aligned policy, financing, and strategic collaboration.
Enabling the Transformation
BATIF 2.0 establishes the policy and institutional foundation for agrifood investment by presenting Bhutan’s 13th Five-Year Plan priorities, enabling investment policies, and national readiness for sustainable agrifood development. The sessions highlight institutional coordination, investment opportunities, and the strategic vision guiding Bhutan’s agrifood transformation.
Pitching and Reverse Pitching
Government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and private sector innovators present investment-ready projects, while investors and financial institutions outline available capital, investment criteria, and partnership opportunities. These sessions bridge investment demand and financing supply to accelerate deal-making.
Financing the Transformation
The Forum presents financing pathways through ADB’s regional agrifood agenda, blended finance mechanisms, and innovative instruments such as the Bhutan AgriSustain Fund. Sessions connect investors, financial institutions, and project proponents to mobilize capital for scalable and climate-resilient agrifood investments.
Deal-Making and Partnerships
Structured bilateral matchmaking sessions and negotiation rooms enable investors, banks, and project proponents to develop partnerships, structure financing arrangements, and formalize investment agreements. The program concludes with partnership announcements and next steps for implementation.
