The commercial passion fruit farm will be established at Marpheng Farm on 20 acres of land, located in Kanglung Gewog under Trashigang Dzongkhag. The project presents a promising investment opportunity driven by strong market demand from Bhutan Agro Industries Limited (BAIL) for both domestic consumption and export purposes. The farm will focus on producing high-quality passion fruit using modern agricultural practices, including a durable concrete trellising system and an advanced irrigation setup to ensure optimal growth and yield.

The farm’s produce will be supplied to BAIL, which provides an assured market for processing into juice, thereby fostering institutional collaboration and strengthening operational linkages. This initiative positions FMCL and its investors as leading commercial-scale producers of passion fruit in the country, given the current limited number of producers. Furthermore, the project is expected to generate both full-time and part-time employment opportunities, particularly benefiting local youth.
