Years ago, many of Bhutan’s ancient cereals—once the heart of rural diets—began to disappear, replaced by modern staples. Along with them, knowledge, nutrition, and cultural heritage slowly faded. Druna Ghu was created in 2018 with a mission to change that story.

Rooted in rural community life, Druna Ghu means more than just cookies. It represents resilience, heritage, and hope. Each cookie is crafted using a blend of 9 traditional cereals, carefully selected from Bhutan’s rich agricultural heritage. These grains are not only nutritious but also deeply connected to the identity of farming communities who have preserved them for generations.
